Athena Lamarre

Athena is an actor, aerial artist, clown and yoga practitioner currently based in Toronto. Upon graduating from George Brown Theatre School’s three-year Conservatory Program in 2003, Athena found an affinity for circus arts and the dynamic practice of Ashtanga yoga. Living in Brooklyn ,NY, for five years and teaching in three out of the five boroughs had a deep impact on the scope of her teaching and continues to do so to this day.

After moving back to Toronto and completing her 500-hour RYT at Downward dog Yoga Centre, she joined the teaching faculty at Downward dog in 2020. She has had the great fortune of studying with influential teachers such as David Regelin, Chuck Miller, Maty Ezraty, Ron Reid, Diane Bruni and Simon Park.

Athena brings humor and generosity into her classes, allowing students to express who they are in a safe, honest, and supportive environment.
