From her first ‘Intro’ class in 2006, Stéphanie was in love with Ashtanga yoga. The alignment of breath and movement gave her a physical outlet from her desk job and calmed her busy mind. Over the next few years, she attended vinyasa classes, as well as Primary Series and Mysore-style intensives. Five years ago marked a turning point in her evolving practice and she completed her first teacher training with her longtime teacher, Laurie Campbell, in 2011. At the same time, she committed to a Mysore-style practice, and this path eventually led her to study further and practice under the guidance of Ron Reid and Marla Joy. Deliberate and detail-oriented, Stéphanie weaves together elements of strength and flexibility in her led classes. When teaching Mysore-style, she loves to share her knowledge and practice, and to help students cultivate their own greater awareness and intelligence. She is immensely grateful to continue her journey as a student and teacher amidst the Downward Dog community, and is also a regular visiting teacher at the Ashtanga Yukon Collective in Whitehorse, Yukon.
