AUDREY GENTILE E-RYT500
Audrey Gentile started yoga as a sporadic practitioner in 2002 while in University in her native Montreal. As she deepened her discipline for the practice by learning and travelling with pioneer of francophone yoga, Lyne St-Roch, she discovered the broader spectrum and realized the profound impact of yoga. The gifts of self-exploration that yoga offer inspired her to continue on the yogic path. After moving to Toronto, yoga had become her way of living and a chance to connect with like-minded individuals in her new city. Determined to fully express what was on that path, she studied and became an instructor under master teachers including Shiva Rae ( Prana Flow® Yoga) and Maria Garre (Prana Flow & Ayurveda). Vinyasa being her main approach, she is also certified in yin and prenatal yoga (Blooma).
In group settings, private sessions or on retreats, Audrey’s teaching is infused with authenticity, warmth and humour. Skillfully arranging asanas to ease the journey from the physical to the subtle body, her emphasis is on what the practice feels like and what it evokes. Compassionately unambiguous around taking a ‘non-guru’ approach, she focuses on empowering her students to connect with their own wisdom and strength.
With a Culinary Arts degree from George Brown College and married to a Chef, her appetite for yoga is equalled by her passion for cooking with slow & sustainable ingredients. She believes that, much like eating, it’s the flavour of a yoga class that everyone remembers and comes back for. She sees the essence of both of her passions as one big feast for the body and soul and a celebration of life.
